Lake Mburo National Park is the only park in Uganda where visitors can walk or ride with the wild life thanks to the absence of lion prides, rhinos and elephants. This Park is home to over 65 mammal species, 350 bird species and a large network or swamps and small lakes which pour into the scenic Lake Mburo. It is also one of those few in Uganda that will give you not only a night game drive but also a ride with the animals on a bike or horse. You want to be part of this personal adventure.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Boat Cruise and Night Game Drive

Morning: Set off from Kampala towards western Uganda on a 5 Hour journey. Make a quick stop over at the Equator crossing for photos. We'll then proceed on our journey with the next stop being at your lodge or hotel at Lake Mburo National Park for check in. 

Afternoon: We'll have lunch at your lodge and then have an afternoon game drive on our  way to Lake Mburo for a boat cruise. The 2 hour game drive comes with a sight of animals like Zebras, Impala, warthogs and more.  The boat ride on Lake Mburo  lasts about 90Mins giving you a sight of crocodiles, hippos and over 350 bird species like the shoe bill, crested crane, herons, mosque swallow, finfoot, pelicans, Ruppell's starling, fish eagle, hornbills, black throated barbet and more. 

Evening: Return to your lodge for supper and get ready for the night game drive.

Night: Enjoy a guided night game drive with an armed park ranger for an opportunity to see leopard, spotted hyenas, bushpigs, mangoose, genet cats and more.

Day 2 - Bush ride, cultural Tour 

Morning: After an early breakfast, we'll go on a guided 3-4 hour bush walk, or ride on a mountain bike or horse back. Without the raving of a car engine, the animals come closer to take a look at their visitors so you get a close up with warthogs, impalas, topi, duiker, zebras, reed buck, oribi and more. 

Mid-morning: We'll take a walk or ride to the neighboring villages for a cultural Tour where you'll have a go at milking a local cow, find out about the history of the Banyankore and also hear the folklore surrounding the formation of Lake Mburo. You can also buy some souvenirs in the villages.

Afternoon: We'll have lunch at your hotel and depart for Kampala or Entebbe Airport.
